The Australian Paranormal Research society (AUPRS) is one of many paranormal organisations worldwide using the same techniques to try and discover more about the paranormal. There are many paranormal groups around the world who claim to the leaders in paranormal research, or claim to be the number one group. However this is not the case as many groups adopt the same experiments.
However, AUPRS does claim to be one of the premier groups. The experiments we use have been adapted based on experiences and from the results we have gained from previous investigations. We have now imported new techniques and experiments from world wide including some experiments that arent commonly used, but are in some countries.
We also use two forms of seance, both of which are commonly used in the UK paranormal research industry. They are the seance and victorian seance. The idea of the seance is to sit in a circle, linking hands in order to combine everyones energy for a spirit to use. It is a belief that for ghosts to form, they need a form of energy.
During the era of victorian England, contacting spirits was the latest trend and many people got involved in. During these times experiments such as Table tipping, glass divination, ouija boards and the victorian seance were commonly used. The victorian seance is a slight adaptation of the seance. A bell is used in the victorian seance, it is rung once around the group and then placed in the centre of the seance.
Table tipping is an experiment in which a group of people sit around the table and ask the spirit(s) to move the table in response to their voice. Most people tend to ask simple yes or no questions.
Glass divination is also regularly used. This is when you use a glass and a few people lightly place one finger on top of it and ask the spirit to move the glass in response to your questions.
We also use experiments such as dowsing, pendulums, crystals, automatic writing, psychic art and more. We also use psychics mediums and sensitives.
Scientific research into our investigations is equally important. To do this we use the latest technology such as EMF readers, dictaphones, night vision cameras, photography and so much more.
This is just a sample of some of the many things we do during our investigations.
